Emily Hawkins

Mistake-prone I & II is a release of creative energy, arranging shapes from my children's discarded art, old clothes, black leather scraps, and an old hand-me-down dress coat from my mother-in-law. In an emotional response to familial relationships, these scraps denote memory and the passage of time--a souvenir of fleeting moments from the past--and an attempt to bring order to the chaos of our shared 'mistake-prone' human experience.
